with Morgan Wade Band

FRIDAYS AFTER FIVE - BUD LIGHT CONCERT SERIES

Virginia Americana - Free Show

There’s a new sound echoing through the valleys in Virginia. American life vibrates in the instruments and heartland lyrics of Will Overman Band [WOB]. Their music is dynamic in its methods and surprisingly contemporary, but rooted in the folksong spirit of any Blue Ridge mountaineer.

“We deliver lyrics and sound with as much truth and conviction as we possibly can,” says Overman. “Our biggest goal as artists is forming a connection with those listening.”

Find yourself in the crowd of a WOB jamboree, and expect something passionate, filled with energy, and probably a little perspiration. Oh, and don’t forget to snap a picture beside WOB’s 1970 red suburban, their traveling method of choice, also featured on the cover of their newest EP.

Proud to call Charlottesville, VA home, WOB frequents venues up and down the East Coast with band members Daniel McCarthy on lead guitar and banjo, Christopher Helms on drums, Brittney Wagner singing vocals, and Jay Wilkerson on Bass. Together they form a dynamic group, delivering high-paced performances, and a deep passion for their fans.

Overman produced his first solo album, Son, in August 2013, and the group just released their first EP this past January 2015, Die Where I Began. WOB launched it's first tour in early February of this year in support of their EP Die Where I Began, and will continue touring this summer. More information on the group can be found at www.willovermanband.com and the group's Facebook page, or check out some of their latest music on iTunes and Spotify.

Will Overman Band’s music is meaningful, made with sincerity, and hearty as a Southern, home-cooked meal. Be sure to check out this new group on the scene, and get your serving of wholesome, well-made music too.
