Cville Band comes home to the Downtown Mall, our traditional summer venue, for the final concert of the summer season. The Band has prepared a fun program for the entire family, from pop to rock to jazz to patriotic. Plan to sing along with us! Come downtown early for dinner at one of your favorite local restaurants and then help the Band close out our historic 99th season.

Since August 17, 1922, the Charlottesville Band has filled the air near and far with symphonic music. Formerly known as The Municipal Band of Charlottesville, we are one of the oldest continuously operating amateur community bands in the United States, bringing talented community members together through a love of music. The Band and its seven small group ensembles give dozens of performances each year, from pop-up concerts in public parks to tuxedo-clad recitals at the Paramount Theater. Together, we volunteer over 14,000 hours per year to make excellent music for our community. Our concerts are free and open to everyone, and they always will be.
